The wastewater generated during the production of benzene series and derivative pesticides (e.g., phenoxycarboxylic acids, benzoylureas, triazoles, etc.) contains characteristic pollutants such as benzene, toluene, xylene, chlorobenzene, nitrobenzene, aniline and their derivatives. Such wastewater features complex compositions, high toxicity and extremely poor biodegradability; moreover, some of its compounds carry carcinogenic, mutagenic and teratogenic risks, exerting strong inhibitory effects on traditional biological treatment processes. Although conventional chemical oxidation methods deliver certain results, they are generally plagued by problems such as high chemical consumption, elevated operational costs, and secondary pollution caused by toxic intermediates or chemical sludge.

To address the treatment bottlenecks of such highly toxic and refractory pesticide wastewater, we launch our Electrochemical Wastewater Treatment Equipment. The equipment generates strong oxidizing hydroxyl radicals in situ through electrode reactions, which have an oxidation potential as high as 2.8V. These radicals non-selectively attack and break the stable chemical structures of benzene rings and their derivatives, gradually degrading them into small-molecule organic acids, and ultimately mineralizing them into carbon dioxide and water. No chemical oxidants need to be added during the treatment process, which avoids the massive iron sludge production and salinity accumulation issues caused by the dosing of agents such as Fenton's reagent, achieving clean treatment from the source.
