The wastewater generated during the production of organophosphorus pesticides is characterized by high toxicity, high concentration and poor biodegradability. It contains substantial amounts of unreacted raw materials, intermediates, by-products and residual pesticides (e.g., phosphate esters, thiophosphate esters, etc.). Such wastewater features stable chemical properties and poor biodegradability. Traditional treatment methods often rely on chemical oxidation or biodegradation, which are limited by high chemical consumption, large sludge production, long treatment cycles and difficulty in achieving stable compliance with discharge standards.
