The wastewater generated during the production and processing of organochlorine pesticides (e.g., DDT, hexachlorobenzene, dicofol, etc.) contains chlorinated hydrocarbon compounds with high toxicity and strong chemical stability. Characterized by extremely poor biodegradability, such wastewater also contains certain components with persistent organic pollutant (POPs) properties, posing long-term risks to the environment and living organisms. Traditional treatment methods are often plagued by multiple challenges, including low degradation efficiency, the potential generation of more toxic intermediates, heavy reliance on chemical agents, and difficulties in sludge disposal.
To address the intractable nature and treatment bottlenecks of organochlorine pesticide wastewater, we have launched our Electrochemical Wastewater Treatment Equipment. Leveraging a synergistic electroreduction-oxidation technology, this system is specifically optimized for the efficient cleavage of carbon-chlorine (C-Cl) bonds and the complete degradation of chlorinated organic matter, providing a clean, thorough, and flexible treatment solution.
Core Advantages of Our Equipment for Organochlorine Pesticide Wastewater Treatment
Targeted Bond Cleavage & Degradation for Complete Harmlessness
Through the synergistic effects of cathodic reduction and anodic oxidation, the equipment achieves two key functions: first, it efficiently cleaves C-Cl bonds via direct electron transfer, converting highly chlorinated organics into low-chlorinated products; second, the strong oxidizing active species generated in the process further break down organic structures through ring-opening reactions, ultimately mineralizing the pollutants. The entire process requires no addition of chemical reducing agents or oxidants, eliminating the generation of chemical sludge at the source and mitigating the risks associated with the transportation and storage of hazardous chemicals.
Integrated Skid-Mounted Design for Flexible & Rapid Deployment
Adopting factory pre-assembled skid-mounted modules, the equipment features a highly compact structure with minimal footprint. It can be fully and rapidly delivered to project sites worldwide, enabling quick installation and commissioning while significantly shortening project cycles. This design is particularly suited for the renovation of aging production lines, urgent environmental compliance upgrades, or manufacturing bases with limited space.
Multi-Functional Configuration to Meet Diverse Treatment Objectives
The equipment’s operating mode can be flexibly adjusted according to specific water quality and discharge requirements:
As a High-Efficiency Pretreatment Core: It specifically disrupts the stable structure of organochlorine compounds, significantly reducing their biological toxicity and greatly improving the biodegradability of wastewater, thereby creating safe and stable operating conditions for subsequent biological treatment systems.
As a Advanced Purification Guarantee Unit: It performs terminal advanced treatment of comprehensive wastewater, ensuring that key indicators such as adsorbable organic halogens (AOX), chemical oxygen demand (COD), and characteristic organochlorine pollutants consistently meet the strictest international discharge standards.
As a Standalone Treatment System: For high-concentration process wastewater or small-to-medium flow scenarios, it can be configured as an independent treatment unit to realize integrated purification of wastewater from influent to direct discharge compliance.
Intelligent Control & High Adaptability
The system boasts high automation, rapid start-up capability, and flexible operation that aligns with production wastewater discharge patterns. It is perfectly adapted to intermittent or fluctuating wastewater flows, enabling convenient “on-demand operation”. The elimination of chemical dosing systems greatly reduces the complexity and management costs of daily operations, ensuring simple, reliable operation and maintenance.
Our electrochemical wastewater treatment equipment provides an advanced solution for pesticide and related chemical enterprises worldwide, delivering efficient, thorough, cost-effective, and rapidly deployable treatment for refractory organochlorine wastewater. It serves as a reliable technological choice for enterprises to comply with stringent environmental regulations, fulfill environmental responsibilities, and achieve sustainable development.
