Desizing and dyeing wastewater, characterized by high concentrations of organic matter (primarily from sizing agents such as polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), starch, and acrylic acid), high COD, high chroma, and poor biodegradability, has become a universally recognized treatment challenge in the textile industry.
