Wastewater generated from coal chemical production, especially coal gasification, coal coking, and downstream processing, has an extremely complex composition. It often forms a composite pollution system consisting of oil pollutants (including light/heavy oil fractions, emulsified oil, and tar) and high-concentration toxic inorganic substances (such as cyanides, thiocyanates, ammonia nitrogen, and various heavy metal ions). Characterized by strong toxicity, intricate chemical properties, and extremely poor biodegradability, this type of wastewater presents systemic challenges to the conventional combined treatment process of "oil separation + chemical demulsification + biological treatment". These drawbacks include lengthy process flows, massive consumption of demulsifiers and chemical agents, the easy generation of large volumes of oily/toxic sludge, and the difficulty in simultaneously and efficiently removing multiple inorganic toxicants. As a result, the process suffers from high operational costs and struggles to achieve stable compliance with discharge standards.
To address the treatment bottlenecks of such composite pollution wastewater, we have launched our Electrochemical Wastewater Treatment Equipment. This system innovatively integrates multiple synergistic mechanisms including electrochemical demulsification, oxidation, reduction, and flocculation. Specially optimized for the simultaneous and efficient separation of oil substances and advanced degradation/conversion of toxic inorganic pollutants, it provides an intensive, clean treatment solution that eliminates reliance on complex chemical dosing and avoids the generation of secondary hazardous waste.
Core Advantages of the Equipment
Synergistic Removal of Oil and Toxicants to Solve Composite Pollution Challenges
Driven by electrochemical reactions, the equipment generates microbubbles and strong redox active species, enabling highly efficient electro-demulsification to facilitate rapid separation of oil substances. Meanwhile, through precise potential regulation, it can efficiently degrade cyanides and thiocyanates, and promote the conversion and removal of certain heavy metal ions. The synergistic treatment of "oil" and "toxicants" is accomplished efficiently within a single system, eliminating the need for separate complex units such as demulsification, oxidation, and precipitation tanks. This achieves integrated advanced purification of composite pollution systems.
Skid-Mounted Modular Integration to Significantly Simplify Processes and Reduce Footprint
Adopting highly integrated, factory pre-assembled skid-mounted modules, the equipment condenses functions that traditionally require multiple large-scale structures (e.g., oil separation tanks, demulsification reactors, chemical oxidation tanks) into a compact space, reducing the occupied area by more than 60%. It can be fully and rapidly deployed in coal chemical industrial parks, realizing "plug-and-play" operation, drastically shortening the construction cycle and investment scale. This design is particularly suitable for the upgrading of existing treatment facilities, emergency wastewater treatment, or serving as a core pretreatment unit for zero-discharge systems.
Flexible Multi-Functional Configuration to Precisely Match Different Treatment Stages
Based on influent water quality and final treatment targets, the equipment can be flexibly applied to different links in the full treatment process:
As a High-Efficiency Integrated Pretreatment Core: It simultaneously achieves efficient oil-water separation and advanced degradation of inorganic toxicants (e.g., cyanide destruction, thiocyanate reduction), significantly reducing the toxic load and oil pollution risks of subsequent biological treatment systems, and creating safe, stable influent conditions for biological processes.
As an Advanced Treatment & Compliance Guarantee Unit: It performs terminal "polishing treatment" on the effluent from preceding processes, ensuring that multiple key indicators such as petroleum content, COD, total cyanides, ammonia nitrogen, and heavy metals consistently meet the strictest discharge or reuse standards.
As a Standalone Treatment System: For high-concentration composite wastewater from specific production sections, it can be configured as a short-process independent treatment line to achieve one-stop purification from influent to direct, stable discharge compliance, featuring streamlined processes and highly efficient management.
Intelligent Control, Robust Operation & On-Demand Startup
Equipped with an advanced intelligent control system, the equipment can respond in real time to drastic fluctuations in the quality and volume of coal chemical wastewater and automatically optimize operational parameters. It boasts rapid startup capability, flexibly adapting to continuous or intermittent production wastewater discharge modes, and truly realizing convenient on-demand operation. Its core "zero (or minimal) chemical agent" design not only completely eliminates the burden of storing, dosing, and safely managing large quantities of high-risk chemical agents, but also eradicates the disposal challenges of hazardous waste sludge generated therefrom, significantly reducing the life-cycle operational costs and environmental risks.
Our electrochemical wastewater treatment equipment provides an innovative, synergistic, compact, cost-effective, reliable, and rapidly deployable solution for the coal chemical and related industries facing the challenges of composite pollution from oil and toxic inorganic substances. It serves as a dependable technological choice to help enterprises overcome complex wastewater treatment difficulties, achieve stable compliance with discharge standards, reduce overall costs, and drive green transformation.
