Flocculation and sedimentation equipment | High-efficiency solid-liquid separation · Fully automatic dosing flocculation system
This equipment is specifically designed to remove suspended solids (SS), colloidal particles, and some organic matter from water. By adding flocculants and coagulants, tiny particles are aggregated into large flocs, which are then separated into solid and liquid components in a sedimentation tank. The system integrates a dosing device (dosing tank, mixer, dosing pump), a reaction tank (with agitator), and an inclined tube/plate sedimentation tank. It features a compact structure, stable operation, and is widely used for various wastewater pretreatment and advanced treatment processes.
core components
Fully Automatic Dosing System: Includes a PE/PP dosing tank, top-mounted mixer, and corrosion-resistant dosing pump (mechanical diaphragm or metering pump). Multiple sets can be configured for dosing PAC, PAM, etc.
Reaction Tank (Flocculation Tank): Equipped with a low-speed mixer to ensure thorough mixing of chemicals and wastewater, promoting floc growth.
Sedimentation Tank: Employs inclined tube/plate packing or a horizontal flow design, featuring high surface loading, convenient sludge removal, and clear effluent.
Electrical Control System: PLC automatic control, capable of联动 (linking) water intake, mixing, dosing, and sludge removal, supporting manual/automatic switching.
Working principle
Mixing and Reaction: Wastewater enters the reaction tank. A dosing device quantitatively adds flocculants (such as polyaluminum chloride, PAC) and coagulant aids (such as polyacrylamide, PAM). A mixer rapidly disperses the agents, forming tiny flocs, which are then slowly stirred to enlarge into dense flocs.
Sedimentation and Separation: The flocs enter the sedimentation tank and settle to the bottom sludge hopper by gravity. The supernatant is discharged through the effluent channel or enters the next unit.
Sludge Removal: Bottom sludge is removed periodically or continuously. Sludge dewatering equipment can be used as an adjunct.
Main advantages
Highly efficient turbidity removal: Suspended solids removal rate reaches over 90%, effluent turbidity is as low as below 5 NTU.
Automatic dosing: Automatically adjusts the dosing amount based on influent flow rate or turbidity signal, saving on reagent costs.
Wide range of applications: Suitable for sand washing wastewater, mine water, dyeing and printing wastewater, food processing wastewater, river dredging, etc.
Durable structure: Reaction tanks and sedimentation tanks can be made of corrosion-resistant carbon steel or SS304/316 stainless steel; dosing tanks and pipelines are corrosion-resistant.
Easy operation: One-button start/stop, low maintenance requirements; optional pneumatic sludge discharge valve.
